After a payment has been initiated, it cannot be cancelled. If necessary, the merchant or business that you submitted the payment to can issue a refund to you.
If you contact a merchant directly about cancelling an order, please note the following:
- Some merchants begin processing orders almost as soon as they are placed, so it may not be possible to cancel or change an order via your Amazon Pay account.
- However, merchants may be able to make changes to an order if they have not yet dispatched your order or not fulfilled the service. So we suggest that you contact the merchant if you want to change or cancel your order. If a charge for the order has already been processed, merchants can initiate refunds.
- Remember that we cannot cancel or change an order on your behalf and we cannot refund you for purchases. If you e-mail us for these reasons, we will ask you to contact the merchant, by which time they may have already dispatched the item/service to you.
